Our story
Why Bikes for Kids
In 2015, Natalie Cash and her brother started Bikes for Kids with one simple belief: no child should wake up on Christmas morning feeling forgotten.
What began as a brother and sister trying to put bicycles under Christmas trees grew into a community tradition. Year after year, listeners, businesses, volunteers and community partners stepped up.
Every December, Natalie goes out into the Oklahoma cold and stays there. The scaffold became part of the tradition. The hours in the cold added up. And she does not come down until the job is done.
She doesn't leave until we hit the goal.
The collections grew. Parking lots filled with bikes. Then car dealerships. Eventually entire football fields, filled end zone to end zone.
Ten years later, 15,975 bicycles and counting. Behind every single one is a child who had something special waiting for them on Christmas morning.
One community. One mission. Thousands of Christmas morning smiles.
A Christmas tradition built one bike at a time, since 2015
